The stage is set for an epic showdown between Ghana's Black Maidens and Nigeria's Flamingos in the final of the 2024 WAFU Zone B U17 Girls Cup. The match, scheduled for Sunday, December 22, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, promises to be an exciting and closely contested encounter .

Nigeria's Flamingos secured their spot in the final with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Benin in the semi-finals, with Mary Lucky Mkp and Peace Effiong scoring the goals. The team has been impressive throughout the tournament, scoring 14 goals and conceding only two .

Ghana's Black Maidens, on the other hand, dominated their semi-final match against Ivory Coast, winning 5-0. Star forward Christana Ashiaku scored a hat-trick in the first half, while Zipporah Ayantoya and Seidatu Wahab added to the tally in the second half .
