There will be no apology to Bagbin, the majority of the NDC caucus.
The Majority caucus in Ghana's Parliament has made it clear that they won't be apologizing to Speaker Alban Bagbin, as demanded by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) caucus. This comes after Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the NPP caucus leader, made some comments about Speaker Bagbin following the indefinite adjournment of Parliament .
According to Patricia Appiagyei, Deputy Majority Leader, the NPP caucus hasn't done anything wrong and therefore won't be apologizing. She emphasized that the Speaker should clarify his stance on the matter, especially since his recent statements were deemed personal opinions rather than formal rulings .
It seems the Majority caucus is standing firm on their decision, and Appiagyei even suggested that the Speaker should publicly declare his position to avoid any confusion. The NDC caucus, however, believes Afenyo-Markin's comments were an unjustified attack on the Speaker .
