Long-time National Democratic Congress (NDC) operative, James Agbey, has issued a stern warning to party executives who he accuses of undermining NDC's efforts in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

His remarks come amid increasing concerns over internal betrayal and tensions within the opposition party.

According to Agbey, certain constituency executives are engaging in actions that jeopardise the party's chances, accusing them of collaborating with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for personal gain.

He pointed out constituencies such as Korle Klottey, Dome Kwabenya, and Awutu Senya West, among others, as places where some NDC constituency executive are actively working against their own parliamentary candidates.

"I am alarmed by disturbing happenings in and around certain constituencies as we approach December 7," Agbey said in a statement.

He alleged that these anti-party activities, which he described as "ugly situations," are being led by certain executives making deals with the NPP, emphasising that these actions violate the NDC's constitution and the principles of loyalty and integrity within the party.

Agbey, however, expressed confidence in the NDC's victory in the upcoming December 7 elections but cautioned that executives found colluding with the NPP would face severe repercussions.

"Let me make it clear that their anti-party conduct of undermining the party and doing business with the NPP, which is in gross violation of decency, reasoning, and the constitution of the NDC, is being closely monitored," he declared.

"We will deal ruthlessly with them and stop their actions before they escalate. We will not allow a few individuals to derail the party for their personal interests," Agbey cautioned.

He called on NDC supporters to remain steadfast, promising that the party is leaving "no stone unturned" to ensure victory in December, highlighting the crucial nature of the elections for the opposition party.

"It is now or never to take power from the NPP," he rallied supporters while urging them to stay focused and committed to the party's goal of returning John Dramani Mahama to the presidency.

"All loyal party members in the NDC must continue to have faith. Victory is ours, and we are leaving no stone unturned until His Excellency John Mahama is sworn in as the next president of the Republic of Ghana," he concluded.
