According to reports, one of the purported victims of the sex tape leak controversy involving politician Baltasar Ebang Engonga of Equatorial Guinea has taken his own life. Online videos depict a distraught family lamenting the body of a woman who is thought to have been one of Engonga's victims as it lies on a bed. Although the precise reason of her death is still unknown, some accounts speculate that she may have killed herself as a result of the emotional suffering and humiliation she experienced from her meetings with Engonga.

Following the revelation of many sex tapes purportedly featuring Engonga, the government of Equatorial Guinea announced plans to launch investigations. This incident follows suit. Engonga is accused of having improper interactions with family members, including his brother's wife and a cousin, and of having inappropriate encounters with married ladies and others close to the president.

Police apparently discovered more than 400 recorded movies on Engonga's computer, which were purportedly taken by CCTV surveillance at his workplace, sparking even more controversy.
