With his latest remarks on Bishop Obinim, a Ghanaian fashion star renowned for his unique style and unvarnished opinions has provoked discussion by calling him "a fake pastor." He publicly stated in an interview, "I'll 100% say Obinim is a fake pastor." He explained his viewpoint by stating that Obinim's assertions that he is an angel diminish the significance of a genuine spiritual leader. "You are here to serve me if you say that you are an angel and not a human. We've been putting up with far too much bullshit," he said. He underlined that true pastors are chosen by God, not by themselves or by merely a formal education, citing Hebrews 5:1. "A pastor who attends school to become one is not genuinely called; a true pastor is born with the gift,’’he said.
In order to demonstrate that their impact went beyond their religious titles, he also cited historical personalities such as Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., and Bob Marley as examples of people who had a true calling. He said, "They didn't carry Bibles, but they were doing God's work," implying that purpose, not titles or formality, is what truly makes a ministry authentic.
