After appearing before the Juvenile Court in Accra today, November 1, 2024, the son of Prophet Salifu Amoako, who was involved in the East Legon disaster that killed two little girls, was placed under remand.
The court has taken both his Ghanaian and American passports, and he is expected to make another appearance on November 7, 2024. He will take him to the University of Ghana Hospital on Monday for a medical evaluation, the police say.
Additionally, on Monday, November 4, "his Ghanaian and US passports are to be deposited at the court." After being admitted to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) since the day of the accident, Elrad was just released. A doctor's letter after his release stated that although he was fit to go home, he was not fit to be questioned by the police.
"He is not fit to be interrogated by the police, even though he has been discharged from the hospital," said the medical officer caring for the preacher's son at the University of Ghana Hospital.
On Saturday, October 12, 2024, an automobile accident claimed the lives of two girls and seriously injured three more. The charges concern their son Elrad's activities when he struck a 4x4 Acura car (GR 2542-23) driven by Joseph Ackah while operating a Jaguar SUV (GN 7801-20).

Elrad was driving a Jaguar SUV when he collided with another car at an intersection, causing a fire that killed the victims, according to CCTV footage from the collision. These findings were verified by the Ghana National Fire Service, and in an interview on Adom FM, Assistant Division Officer (ADO) Alex King Nartey offered more information.
