In his latest remarks, Martin Kpebu addressed the charges made by Alexander Afenyo-Markin and the current political difficulties inside the New Patriotic Party (NPP). According to Kpebu, Afenyo-Markin's assertions are an intentional attempt to deflect criticism away from the NPP's internal problems, especially its difficulties with parliamentary representation.

The head of the NPP caucus in Parliament, Afenyo-Markin, has reportedly expressed his disapproval of the Speaker's choices and the conduct of opposition lawmakers. He claims that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is causing misunderstandings and disturbances in Parliament. However, Kpebu contends that Afenyo-Markin ought to recognize the NPP's internal problems instead of concentrating on outside influences.

Kpebu said that recent resignations and disqualifications of some of its members have made it harder for the NPP to maintain a majority in Parliament. A considerable number of seats are now empty as a result of this circumstance, which has made it a divisive topic among legislators. As both parties fight for control, the conflict over representation and power has gotten more intense.

"Afenyo-Markin's accusations are a diversion from these urgent internal issues," Kpebu said in his speech. He emphasized that it would be more fruitful for the NPP to fix its own faults rather than criticizing the NDC. According to Kpebu, reestablishing harmony and order inside the party requires admitting these problems.
