Rapper and songwriter Pope Skinny has disclosed how baseless accusations caused his friendship with Shatta Wale to abruptly terminate. After nearly six years apart, Pope Skinny has finally admitted that his immaturity was a factor in his fights with Shatta Wale.

"I was young and our issues started like 2018 so it's been 6 years and looking at the way I think now I wouldn't utter a word if my issues with Shatta Wale happened today," he stated in an interview with Property FM in Cape Coast. Shatta Wale stated several things that truly upset me, but sometimes when you explain yourself too much, it becomes something else.

He told Amansan Krakye, "If I didn't clear the accusations he made about me, maybe others would think that's how it is, but if it were to be now, like I wouldn't take it from that angle." "We've had serious arguments and fights in the past that we were able to settle amicably, but he went too far, and I did the same with our more recent issues," he said.
