In an interview on The Cruz Show, Tems talked about her love of rap music and her previous imitation of Lil Wayne. After being exposed to rap by her older brother at a young age, Tems developed a deep love for hip-hop.
Tems talked about her love of rap music and how she used to imitate Lil Wayne in a recent interview on The Cruz Show.

She disclosed that her older brother had a big influence on her early liking of hip-hop. Because he used to listen to a lot of rap music, my brother is the one who first exposed me to rap.I acquired the influences that way," she added. Tems said on the show, "I used to pretend to be Lil Wayne when I was younger," citing her favorite Lil Wayne songs as "Mrs. Officer," "Mr. Carter," "Comfortable," and "Hustle Music."

The Oscar-nominated singer admitted that she has a rap voice when asked if she could rap, however she was hesitant to show it off. She made the amusing comment, "It is a little cringy," about her attempts to mimic a rapper.

Tems added that although she hasn't had the chance to meet Lil Wayne yet, she is excited about the idea and hopes it will happen soon.

Her debut album "Born In The Wild," which included the rap song "T Unit" and a collaboration with Grammy-winning rapper J. Cole on "Free Fall," notably displays her commitment to hip-hop. Drake included Tems on "Fountain" on his album "Certified Lover Boy," and she has collaborated with other rappers, including as Future on the Grammy-winning single "Wait For U."

In other developments, the unique mother-daughter bond between Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo and her daughter Priscilla has once again won people over. Priscilla recently showed her mother some new dancing steps when they welcomed Fatima, the sister of her boyfriend Juma Jux, to Nigeria. Priscilla is seen performing the dance steps while seated at a dining table with her family in a video posted to Instagram by @Shantizworld. A happy mood was created as the Nollywood diva and her loved ones relished their time together, and the camera then captured Iyabo Ojo attempting to follow along.
