The Ministry of Education has officially announced the release of the 2024 Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results for Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

The announcement is of great importance to students, parents, and guardians eager to know their school placements for the 2024/2025 academic year.

The Ministry announced that the total number of students successfully placed in schools now stands at 521,088, which is a 94.20% placement rate.

Students who were not placed are urged to visit the Self-Placement portal to make a selection.

According to the ministry, in a previous press release and interviews, a placement centre has been set up to address all concerns of students who have schools they do not like or wish to change.

So, once a student is having genuine issues about a school, the person can go to the centre, GES office, or the ministry for rectification.

How to Access the Self Placement Platform

The Ministry outlined steps for accessing the CSSPS platform:

1. Visit the Official Website: Students should log on to [www.cssps.gov.gh](http://www.cssps.gov.gh) or [www.cssps.org](http://www.cssps.org).

2. Enter Details: Input the ten-digit index number followed by “24” (representing the year of completion). For instance, 123456789024.

3. Submit Information: Click “Submit” and wait for placement details to appear.

4. Proceed to Self-Placement: Students not placed automatically will be directed to the Self-Placement platform, where they can choose a school.

5. Print Necessary Documents: Once placement is confirmed, print the enrolment form, placement slip, and prospectus.

Students may proceed with in-person registration at the selected school or complete online registration through [www.admissions.cssps.gov.gh](http://www.admissions.cssps.gov.gh).

The Ministry also emphasized that the school placement service is free of charge, with no PIN codes required.

Candidates are reminded that they can change their chosen school on the Self-Placement platform as many times as possible.

Reporting Date for New Students

Schools are scheduled to begin registration and orientation for new students on October 30, 2024, with academic classes set to commence on November 7, 2024.
