Robert Crentsil, popularly known as Bob, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for Ajumako Enyan Essiam has thrown his support behind the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), and Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson the party’s parliamentary candidate for the constituency.

The 2016 National Best Farmer, Crentsil, known for his longstanding loyalty to the NPP, cited dissatisfaction with the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration as the driving force behind his decision.

He criticized the government for what he described as failed promises and poor economic management, which he claimed had severely impacted his constituents.

“Since the NPP came to power, they have deceived Ghanaians, and things are not going well,” he said in a viral video declaring his switch in politics.

He expressed particular concern over rising living costs and insufficient support for the agricultural sector, issues he believes have worsened under the current administration.

In endorsing Dr. Ato Forson, the Member of Parliament for Ajumako Enyan Essiam, he emphasized the MP's ability to advocate for the constituency effectively.

“We need someone who can go to Parliament and speak on our behalf, not someone who will just say ‘yeah, yeah,’” he stated.

He urged voters to consider the broader implications of their choices in the upcoming elections and to prioritize policies that address development and social welfare.
