The family of the late Madam Akua Donkor, founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), has officially announced the funeral arrangements following her passing at the age of 83.

According to the family, the funeral rites will take place in Ejuratia, Ashanti Region, with the following schedule:

🔹 Laying in State – Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 4:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Ejuratia.

🔹 Burial Service – Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Ejuratia.

🔹 Funeral Rites – Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ejuratia.

🔹 Thanksgiving Service – Sunday, March 30, 2025, at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Ejuratia, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

🔹 Final Funeral Gathering – Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ejuratia.

Madam Akua Donkor, a well-known political figure and advocate for Ghanaian democracy, will be laid to rest in the presence of family, friends, and sympathizers.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and an extended network of loved ones. The chief mourners include Nana Kwakye Piagye (Ejuratia Dikro), Op. Kwaku Addai (Kumasi), and Nana Brefo Kwadwan, among others.

Members of the Ghana Freedom Party Executive will also be present, including Mr. Frimpong Manso Adakabre, Mr. Kwabena Agyemang Appiah Kubi, and Mr. George Afful.
