Bernard Osei Asibey popularly known as Political Bengazi, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communication team has urged Ghanaians to reject the presidential bid of John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to the communicator, Mahama, having served as President of Ghana before, does not deserve another chance, as he was rejected by Ghanaians in the past.

He argued that Mahama's previous administration was marked by significant challenges, including severe economic hardship and widespread electricity blackouts, popularly known as "dumsor".

Speaking in an interview with Andy Asante Okyere on the Wonson programme on Radio Univers on November 28, 2024, the NPP communicator expressed reservations about Mahama's leadership.

“Mahama shouldn't be seen as an angel to save the country. Ghanaians have already said they don’t like him and have rejected his bid, so he cannot become president again," he stated.

He added, “Have you forgotten all the scandals that marred his administration—dumsor, economic hardship, the Ford car saga, among others?”

The NPP communicator called on Ghanaians to critically evaluate the track record of candidates, especially the flagbearer of the NPP Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and make decisions that would benefit the nation in the upcoming elections.
