Phyllis Hope Ministry champions support for Children with special needs

UK based ministry, Phyllis Hope Ministry has intensified its commitment to improving the lives of children with special needs and disabilities, unveiling a series of initiatives aimed at providing educational resources, therapy services, and inclusive learning opportunities across Ghana.

Phyllis Hope Ministry, renowned for its philanthropic work, has identified the need for greater attention to children with disabilities, many of whom face limited access to quality education and support services.

According to Rev Mrs Phyllis Acheampong the founder of the ministry, who doubles as a seasoned Project Manager in alternative Education provision and an experienced Public sector Procurement & Supply chain Professional based in the UK, the foundation is dedicated to breaking barriers for children with special needs.

“With an aim to equip communities with the tools and encouragement they need to navigate life's challenges with confidence and grace. We believe that nurturing hope in the young and old in these hard and trying times is the bedrock to improving quality of life.”



“Every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential, regardless of their physical or intellectual abilities. Our focus is to ensure these children are not left behind,” she stated.

She added that the foundation’s approach combines direct intervention, capacity-building for caregivers, and collaboration with schools to foster an inclusive environment.

As part of its mission, Phyllis Hope Ministry Foundation is yet to launch other programs targeting children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other disabilities.

These include; Therapy Clinics, Scholarships and Educational Supplies, Caregiver Training Workshops.

The foundation’s efforts have already impacted more children in London with the ‘Back to School’ outreach and recently donated to the Tepa Presbyterian Primary School, with essential learning materials and supplies aimed at fostering education in the region. with plans to scale up operations in other parts of the country.

Phyllis Hope Ministry plans to extend its reach through partnerships with local and international organizations.
