The Alumni Association of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has demonstrated its commitment to supporting the University’s growth by donating six brand-new HP Laser printers, valued at GHC 21,000.
The equipment will be distributed among six schools within the institution, enhancing both academic and administrative functions.
Prof. Lydia Aziato, Vice-Chancellor of UHAS, received the donation on behalf of the University, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the Alumni Association.
She commended the association’s initiative, especially considering its relatively young history, and recognized the significant impact of their continued involvement in the institution's development.
Speaking at the donation event, Mr. Gabriel Agbanyo, President of the UHAS Alumni Association, emphasized the importance of the printers in improving efficiency across the various schools.
He urged the University to maximize the use of the equipment and reaffirmed the Alumni Association’s dedication to supporting the University in various ways. “As alumni, we are partners in the development of the University. Our core mandate is to translate all that we learned in UHAS into meaningful service to mankind and also give back to the University,” he stated.
The event was attended by the Registrar, Deans of the various schools, Directors, executives of the Alumni Association, and several faculty members, who all acknowledged the importance of alumni contributions to UHAS's continued success.
This gesture by the Alumni Association underscores their role as active stakeholders in the University's mission to provide high-quality health education and services, further strengthening the bond between alumni and their alma mater.
