Universal Friendship Organization's peace walk gets police backing

The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has assured the Universal Friendship Organization (UFO) of full protection for their peace walk scheduled for November 9. This assurance came after a closed-door meeting between UFO's President, Samuel Adobah, together with the vice President JOHNSON ADU, and the police administration to finalize preparations.

The police commander has advised organizers to refrain from displaying party colours during the walk, instead encouraging the use of Ghana flags and UFO's organizational t-shirts.

Adherence to police rules is also mandatory to ensure a peaceful event.

This meeting marks the second time the police have invited UFO to discuss their preparedness.

Adobah thanked the police for deploying officers to safeguard the peace walk and promised a smooth, peaceful experience.

With over 1,000 supporters expected to participate, UFO aims to preach peace to the general public as Ghana approaches the 2024 elections.

The organization's efforts are crucial in promoting harmony and peaceful coexistence during this critical period.
