International airline Goldstar Air, the Wings of Ghana, and Belly of America is ready to take off in 2025, bringing a new era of air travel to Ghana and beyond. With our 24-hour service, commitment to excellence, and focus on economic impact and sustainability, the airline is set to become a leader in the aviation industry.

The airline will serve Ghana and the rest of the world with our 24-hour service expertise to grow and enhance the economy. As the airline prepares for a successful takeoff, it invites travelers and partners to join in this exciting journey, promising a bright and prosperous future for all.

Goldstar Air is poised to make a grand entrance as the aviation industry soars towards new horizons. Set to take off in 2025, Goldstar Air is not just another name in the aviation sector but a symbol of the United States and Ghanaian registered company’s burgeoning potential and commitment to excellence.

Goldstar Air is awaiting a Safety Certificate (Air Operator’s Certificate) from the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority.

The airline will start operations immediately after the aircraft inspection and issuance of the safety certificate from the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority for scheduled and non-scheduled flights to West Africa and Intercontinental. Goldstar Air aims to revolutionize Ghana's aviation industry and beyond and set new standards for safety, comfort, reliability, and on-time departures.

Goldstar Air's next step is for a continuous strategic transformation to be the key player in the aviation industry for decades, which holds significant potential to contribute to Ghana’s economic growth and stability.

The airline’s management team are generational thinkers; therefore the 24-hour service business model is for generations to come and to bring in foreign exchange. The airline's 24-hour service is a strategic and innovative approach to revitalize the economy and reduce unemployment.

A stable foreign exchange environment attracts foreign investors, as it reduces the risk associated with currency fluctuations. Foreign direct investment (FDI) brings in capital, technology, and expertise, fostering economic development.

The airline's 24-hour operations and strategic initiatives align with the economic agenda of Ghana and will drive forward key economic goals including job creation, tourism development, trade and investment facilitation, and overall economic diversification and

contributing to the broader economic goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Ghana's economy has traditionally relied on sectors such as agriculture and mining, without paying much attention to aviation and tourism.

With Goldstar Air's pragmatic solution for enhancing the aviation and tourism sectors to support economic diversification, the airline’s operations will stimulate growth in related sectors such as hospitality, logistics, and retail. This diversification is crucial for creating a resilient economy that can withstand global economic shocks.

Goldstar Air service will be very efficient air transport which will be crucial for trade and investment. This initiative will facilitate Ghana's trade links by providing reliable, quick, safe, and efficient cargo services, boosting exports and imports, and a key driver of economic development and growth.

Additionally, by connecting Ghana with major global markets, Goldstar Air will be attracting foreign investment to the country and providing a platform for multinational companies to establish a presence in

Goldstar Air will be introducing several new initiatives designed to elevate the customer experience, improve financial performance, and drive shareholders' value. As part of the ongoing focus on product evolution, the airline is moving forward with plans to build a maintenance repair overhaul, cargo village, aviation training, and catering school in Ghana.

The airline's 24-hour operations will generate over one million direct and indirect job opportunities for Ghanaians. From Pilots and Cabin crew to Counter agents, Tour operators, Country managers, Station managers, Accountants, Flight dispatchers, Drivers, Marketing personnel, Cleaners, IT managers, Air marshals, Cargo agents, Catering services, Fuel suppliers, and Maintenance workers, with the airline providing diverse employment opportunities.

According to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Goldstar Air Eric Bannerman, the aviation industry supports $3.5 trillion (4.1%) of the world’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), if aviation were a country, it would rank 17th in size by GDP. That equates to the GDP of Indonesia and the Netherlands and supports 87.7 million jobs around the world.

The airline's 24-hour operations will bring in foreign exchange to Ghana because foreign exchange is crucial for a country's economic stability and growth for several reasons. Foreign exchange allows countries to engage in international trade by providing the means to pay for imports and receive payments for exports. This exchange of goods and services is essential for meeting domestic demand and generating revenue from foreign markets.

Goldstar Air's foreign exchange contribution to the local economy will be healthy for Ghana’s foreign exchange reserve and will help stabilize the country’s currency. It will provide the central bank with the ability to manage exchange rates effectively, preventing excessive volatility that could harm the economy.

The foreign exchange reserves will enable the country to invest in infrastructure, technology, and other critical sectors by purchasing necessary goods and services from abroad. By ensuring a healthy level of foreign exchange, the country will enhance economic resilience, promote growth, improve the standard of living for Ghanaians, and support overall economic development and growth.

Goldstar Air, as the economic tool of Ghana, will bring in sufficient foreign exchange that will meet the country's external debt obligations, maintaining creditworthiness and avoiding defaults. This is vital for securing favorable terms for future borrowing and investment.

The airline's contribution to Ghana’s foreign exchange reserves will act as a buffer against economic shocks, such as sudden capital outflows or a drop in export revenues. This financial cushion will help maintain economic stability during crises.

Afrik Allianz, the multi-modal single air transport alliance network initiated by Goldstar Air connecting over 121 airports in Africa and beyond, from each origin airport will connect several different destinations via flights to and from 'hub' airports. Ghanaian passengers and the wider economy will benefit from the ability to access both a greater number of destinations and a higher frequency of services that would be possible through the services of Afrik Allianz members.

In other words, passengers benefit both from more frequent services to major destinations and from the ability to access additional economically important destinations through onward flights. All airlines that will provide services between airports within the network contribute to its wider economic value.

Passengers will also recognize the Afrik Allianz additional benefits provided by individual airlines within the wider network, such as a frequent flyer program. The perceived value of frequent flyer programs emphasizes the value customers perceive in having an inter-connected network of air services available. It will be a key factor behind the preference shown by passengers for transfers using the same airline or alliance group.

Goldstar Air is negotiating with some members of Afrik Allianz to set up an insurance department which will be known as Afrik Insurance, to start with insurance for our aircraft that will initially fly within the African continent and later to other continents. Aviation insurance will cover the requirements that are needed and are helpful to owners, operators, pilots, renters, students, and flight schools in which there is a risk for life.

The airline will work with insurance companies on the African continent to ensure all big-ticket insurance coverage is taken care of by a consortium of insurance companies.
Members of Afrik Allianz will benefit a lot from these arrangements once there are not enough claims and will also arrange “fleet policies” to cover all aircraft they own or operate. The underwriting profits can be utilized as an indemnity or guarantee to purchase additional aircraft for members, and this will also benefit the local insurance in Ghana.

Mr. Bannerman emphasized that the airline educational institutions will offer training and skill development programs, ensuring a skilled workforce that meets Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards. This will not only reduce unemployment but also enhance the skill set of the Ghanaian labor market.

Goldstar Air's 24-hour service will offer a unique Student Work-Study Program designed to support students in their academic pursuits while providing valuable work experience. Students will be allowed to work with the airline for 8 to 10 hours per week. This flexible schedule will ensure that students balance their work commitments with their academic responsibilities.

A portion of the student's earnings is allocated towards their tuition fees, helping to reduce the financial burden of higher education. The remaining earnings are paid to the students as a salary, providing them with a steady income.

Students can take on various roles within the airline, such as administrative support, customer service, or even assisting with flight operations. These roles will offer hands-on experience and help students develop skills that are relevant to their field of study.

Goldstar Air benefits for students will be as financial support towards tuition fees and the program will help students manage their educational expenses more effectively. Students will gain practical work experience, which will be a valuable addition to their resume and enhance their employability after graduation.

Working in different departments within Goldstar Air will allow students to develop a range of skills, from communication and problem-solving to technical and operational knowledge. Students will have the chance to network with professionals in the aviation industry, which will open doors for future career opportunities.
One may also obtain the training and experience necessary to become an FAA-certificated Airframe and or Powerplant Mechanic via two means. The first is Academy training through an FAA-certificated Aviation Maintenance Technician School

(AMTS) and the second is On-the-job training (OJT) that provides practical experience with the procedures, practices, materials, tools, machine tools, and equipment generally used in constructing, maintaining, or altering airframes or powerplants, appropriate to the rating sought.

Once you meet the On-the-job experience requirements, there are commercially available Airframe and Powerplant refresher courses and Airframe and Powerplant prep courses that will help prepare you to pass the airman knowledge written, oral, and practical tests.

Usually, On-the-job training is the most inexpensive method for gaining the required experience. You will need to document consistently your OJT (On-the-job training) activities. FAA recommends you record your experience on an Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) log. In your log, ensure you include the Maintenance task performed, Time spent on each task, and Validation by a certificated Airframe and or Powerplant Technician.

Goldstar Air’s Student Work-Study Program is a win-win for both students and the airline. Students receive financial support, gain valuable work experience, and develop essential skills, while the airline benefits from the enthusiasm and fresh perspectives brought by the students. This program exemplifies the airline’s commitment to supporting education and fostering the next generation of professionals in the aviation industry.

The program by Goldstar Air represents a beacon of hope for Ghana’s youth, offering them a pathway to gainful employment and career growth. By combining practical work experience with academic learning, the program not only addresses the immediate issue of youth unemployment but also builds a skilled workforce ready to drive the country forward. As more young individuals participate and benefit from this initiative, the ripple effects will be felt across the broader economy, contributing to a brighter future for all.

Goldstar Air will initiate a biweekly (2 weeks) employee pay structure in Ghana, which will align with other destinations' salary structures to avoid employment discrimination and be the first of its kind in the aviation sector in the country.
The recent increase in migration of skilled labor is not just due to isolated economic issues but a systemic failure of Ghana’s economic fundamentals. It is multiple factors that the economy has not been running well and over time we are all going through hardship and that has also caused the exodus of skilled labour in the country.

The importance of entrepreneurship in economic growth has been increasingly recognized in the 21st century. Economists now understand that entrepreneurial ventures have long-lasting positive impacts on the development and prosperity of society and the economy of a country. Great countries like America are built by entrepreneurs and a political system that protects citizens' rights and freedoms and promotes the rule of law.

Innovation is essential for an economy to flourish. Entrepreneurs develop novel products and services that enhance people's lives and make businesses more efficient and profitable. Innovation also aids companies in competing in the global economy.

One of the key benefits of entrepreneurship to the economy is job creation. When a new business is created, it creates new jobs that can be filled by people from the community. In addition to creating jobs, entrepreneurship can also help to boost the economy by increasing consumer spending. When people are employed, they have more money to spend on goods and services. This can help to support other businesses in the community and stimulate economic growth.

Entrepreneurship is a noble pursuit that offers both personal and societal benefits. Even if your business does not become a household name, you should still be proud of the positive impact you are making on the world. Your business creates jobs, drives innovation, and helps to grow the economy. You are making a difference, and that is something to be celebrated.
