Nollywood Mourns as Legendary Actor Chief Charles Olumo, "Agbako," Dies at 101

Nigerian Nollywood icon Chief Charles Olumo, fondly known as Agbako, has died at the age of 101.

Renowned for his vibrant roles and distinguished career in Nollywood, Olumo was celebrated as one of the industry’s longest-serving actors. He passed away on Thursday, leaving an enduring legacy that resonates with both fans and fellow actors.

The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) confirmed the news through its president, Bolaji Amusan, widely recognized as Mr. Latin.

In his statement, Mr. Latin mentioned that further details regarding funeral arrangements would be released soon.

Social media has since been flooded with tributes and condolences from fans and members of the Nollywood community.
