Your Excellency,

PLEASE YOUR DIRECTIVE HAS STILL NOT BEEN EFFECTED BY GPHA

Your directive to the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority as far back as August last year for we, the over four thousand ex-workers of the Authority to be paid our severance benefits has still not been effected.

The economic situation is becoming unbearable for us and our families, people are sick, some are dying out of abject poverty, marriages have ended up on the rocks and many of the affected workers are facing accommodation problems with children dropping out of school.

We seldom hear from our legal team to know the state of affairs on the matter.

We would be blissfully happy if your high Office could please ensure that your directive is respected and effected with a specific timeline.

Additionally, it is a truism that former president John Mahama does not solve problems and that is why he pooh-poohed your Free SHS, he could not solve the Dagbon crisis, he shunned Teacher and Nursing Trainees over allowances and stopped the process directed by late president Atta Mills for the Transport Ministry to ensure an early resolution of the dispute between us and the GPHA.

Your Excellency, no problem is incapable of solution because the ability to think and reason out solutions to problems was lovingly given to man at the time of creation but unfortunately, not every sitting president solves problems.

May the most powerful spirit and nature gods bless you for providing solutions to problems of the country, you really care about the poor masses.

In fact, we are happy to hear that the theme for the next president’s campaign is “TO LEAD IS TO SOLVE”.

Asking for your co-operation and thanks.

Yours truly,

STEPHEN ASHITEY ADJEI, alias Moshake(Leader of GPHA Ex-Workers)
