Kenneth Nyamekye Boffah, a 20-year-old from the Republic of Ghana, is making waves in the rugby scene in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Born to missionary parents from the Light House Group of Churches, Kenneth moved from the UK to PNG in 2007 at the tender age of three. Growing up in Port Moresby, Kenneth discovered his passion for rugby early in life.
He started playing in 2013 while attending Grade 3 at St. Joseph International College. His journey in rugby gained momentum in 2019 when he began participating in inter-school games, leading to his debut at the Capital Rugby Union (CRU) International Rugby 7s. At just 16 years old, Kenneth joined the Nova Rugby Union Club’s U20 division and quickly proved his mettle.
Today, at 20, he plays for Nova’s Premier side and the Butterflies U20 team in the Port Moresby Rugby League Competition. Known for his exceptional speed, agility, and defensive prowess, Kenneth has established himself as a formidable winger.
