At a Frimps Oil station, Okatakyie Afrifa, host of the Angel Morning Show, and a police officer were observed having a heated argument with fuel attendants. Afrifa, who has been looking into fuel stations for suspected operating irregularities, addressed the employees about issues he said he had found. His inquiries come after he started an investigation a few weeks ago after he discovered anomalies at an Atimpoku gas station, which sparked interest in his findings.
Afrifa is seen in the widely shared video arguing heatedly with the attendants and a policeman who seems to be supporting the station. "Are you the only one who buys fuel from this station?" the officer said, casting doubt on Afrifa's perseverance. "A whole policeman, look at what he is doing, because they give you 2cedis and 5cedis," Afrifa retorted, clearly upset. Viewers' comments to this comment, which seemed to imply that the officer was biased because of a potential bribe, have sparked a conversation about the role that authority figures play in these situations. At that point, Okatakyie Afrifa and the policeman start arguing.
The goal of Afrifa's investigations is to bring attention to purported misconduct at gas stations, bringing to light problems that many customers encounter but might not discuss.
