Due to what he believes to be disrespect for President-elect John Mahama, Kumawood actor Clement Bonney, also known by his stage name Mr. Beautiful, has announced that he will no longer meet his colleague Agya Koo. During the campaign, Mr. Beautiful accused Agya Koo of propagating lies, citing, among other things, the claim that Mahama sold the Tema port, which he maintains is not true. He asked in an interview why Agya Koo would let his political affiliation impair his judgment and cause him to commit such lies in order to get power.
He stated that his old friend ought to be ashamed when Agya Koo's party lost the election. "I am now at odds with Agya Koo. I will never again greet him. He disseminated appalling falsehoods about John Mahama. I was astounded that his steadfast devotion to his party drove him to make up such tales. Now that his party has lost, he ought to feel ashamed," he said.
