President Nana Addo's personal bodyguard fainted during his state of the country address in parliament on Friday, January 3, causing an unforeseen event. The tragedy occurred while the president was giving his final speech to the nation. The president's personal bodyguard, who typically stands behind him at all events, was seen losing his footing just before he passed out in a video that has gone viral online. The president's speech was interrupted for a few minutes by this incident.
As soon as they arrived, medics assisted the guard in leaving the chambers for additional care. According to reports, the fact that he was still aware when the medics took him indicated that the situation was not extremely bad. The president stayed composed the entire time, and he spoke to the house after receiving confirmation that he was being attended to. Presidential bodyguards typically stand for extended periods of time, especially during major events, and eventually grow weary. Fatigue might have caused him to faint.
