Following their widely reported rap feud in 2016, Ghanaian musician M.anifest has opened out about his current relationship with fellow rapper Sarkodie. M.anifest stated in an interview with Bola Ray on Starr Chat that although they have resolved their disagreements, they are not friends. When Sarkodie released his song "Bossy," claiming to be Ghana's best rapper and mentioning M.anifest, the feud started. M.anifest responded by releasing "God MC," a lyrical jab at Sarkodie. Sarkodie responded with "Kanta," starting one of the fiercest rap feuds in Ghana.
Speaking about the dispute, M.anifest denied reports that the feud was fabricated, stating that it was a real contest between two musicians demonstrating their lyrical prowess. He made it clear that the conversation was only ever creative and never personal. M.anifest stressed that the rappers' relationship is courteous rather than intimate, underscoring the difference between friendship and professional respect, even though they have gone over their feud.
