Many people are grieving and reflecting over the untimely passing of Ghanaian gospel musician Jacob Yaw Mawulo Adjola, better known by his stage name Jake. Following his death, an audio tape that includes sincere counsel to his younger brother, Eben, has come to light, illuminating the hardships that ultimately resulted in his premature demise.
Ajola gives his brother important advice on overcoming obstacles in life in the heartfelt recording that was broadcast on Neat FM in Accra. He stresses the value of financial freedom while urging Eben to place a higher priority on prayer and personal development. "Don't mess with prayer." "I want you to be serious about your finances," Ajola says. He suggests delaying marriage, putting Eben's needs first, and creating a stable future. He goes on to say that "once you are established, you get the woman to marry," emphasizing that the secret to a successful existence is both financial security and personal development.
The difficulties that Ajola encountered in his personal life are reflected in his words. He tells his brother, "They will leave you because you don't have money," warning him of the toll that unstable finances can take on relationships. Why don't you earn the money instead? Develop yourself. Ajola's sorrow for not getting comparable guidance earlier in life and the significance of financial security are highlighted by her sentiment.

Ajola grows increasingly solemn as the recording goes on. In a reference to his imminent demise, he instructs Eben to get in touch with a coworker to get his money back. "You and I are both praying. I'll be praying with you wherever I am. He leaves a heartfelt message of love and support, even in his last moments, by sharing, "Because you will not see me again."

During his final remarks, Ajola conveys his profound sadness and begs for forgiveness. He explains to Eben how their father was profoundly impacted by the difficulties he encountered and how a change of surroundings would enable him to develop. Perhaps you won't see me again. Eben, I adore you. I apologize for being forced to do this. I'm sorry," he replies, advising Eben to think about altering their last name as they felt it was associated with bad things. Following his death in October 2024, Jacob Ajola's family, Christian community, and fans have all been affected in some way.
