The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has strongly cautioned President Nana Akufo-Addo about the impending elections. According to Mahama, Akufo-Addo appears to be getting ready for the prospect of losing the election on December 7. The video claims that Mahama expressed his opinions to supporters at a campaign rally in Biakoye, which is in the Oti Region. He said that President Akufo-Addo's recent remarks show a shift in perspective. The president seems to be admitting that the New Patriotic Party (NPP), his party, might not win the election.
Akufo-Addo's recent remarks about guaranteeing a peaceful transfer of power, Mahama noted, imply that he is prepared to cede power to the victor. Mahama claims that this statement shows an awareness that the NPP might be losing.
"You must vote for the NDC because we will pursue those who have embezzled from the public coffers," he said. Mahama underlined that his party is dedicated to bringing those responsible for misusing public monies to justice. He chastised Vice President Dr. Bawumia, claiming that he is unable to hold people responsible for misconduct.

Akufo-Addo had previously stated that he would not cede power to him, which Mahama also cited. The President, Mahama pointed out, has suddenly changed his mind and is now open to handing over power to the election winner. To Mahama, this change implies that Akufo-Addo is aware that his party is about to lose. “However, I heard him recently say he will transfer power to whoever wins,” he said. He is only acting in this way because he is aware that the NPP would soon lose the election. Mahama believes that he is on course to regain Ghana's leadership, as this comment demonstrates.
