Despite the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) defeat in the general election of 2024, gospel singer, preacher, and staunch NPP member Diana Asamoah has urged all NPP followers to be steadfast in their faith. In an interview with Angel FM, Diana Asamoah stated that she has learned to maintain her faith in God at times of sorrow because "He [God] is not a one-way being."
"Do everything in your power to believe God, whether you win or lose the election. By God's grace, nothing can disturb us because it's still NPP and yet possible. "This morning, I just want to tell you to trust God; every time I lost, I got stronger because I realized that God is not a one-way being," she stated. The gospel singer also counseled New Democratic Congress (NDC) members not to put their hope in the party but to put God first in all they do. However, she encouraged the NDC government to concentrate on carrying out admirable deeds throughout their time in office. Furthermore, a government that has God's grace will be favored by the populace.
Additionally, I would like to encourage those in power to work hard and place their hope in Christ. Should you place all of your faith on your party, you will become inactive and eventually find yourself in opposition. Even if a government is in charge, it won't win people over if it doesn't have God's grace. You will, however, experience God's mercy when His favor is upon you. We shall consume food from both sides as long as we are alive," she declared.
