Bishop Obinim discussed prophets whose forecasts regarding the most recent Ghanaian election did not materialize. He added, "Those prophets who prophesied and their prophecies did not come to pass should be inside their room, they shouldn't come to speak again." Bishop Obinim also cited his own forecasts, stating, "I also predicted many times on my platforms that the election is for Mahama, and Bawumia wants to collect from him, but I didn't say God said." He explained that he had been given a revelation from God, but he declined to claim that his forecast was the result of supernatural guidance.
According to Bishop Obinim, Dr. Bawumia had tried to meet with him but had been turned down, stating, "The throne is for Mahama, so it will be difficult for Bawumia to collect it from him." He underlined that all prophets had received the outcome from God, but he asked why certain prophets had not been forthright about their own revelations. The warning from Bishop Obinim was that "no prophet should come out and also say I prophesied Mahama's victory and seek for glory."
