Former Deputy Energy Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Yapei-Kusawgu John Abdulai Jinapor revealed that President John Mahama has directed the Chief of Staff to call an urgent meeting with those involved in the power industry to discuss the impending power crisis.
"His Excellency the President directed the Chief of Staff to chair a meeting with all stakeholders today at 10 am," he stated.
In order to stabilize the power supply and avoid "dumsor," the meeting will include representatives from the nation's power generation businesses.
On Wednesday, January 8, the MP stated on Joy FM's Super Morning Show that the meeting was required since the previous administration had not been able to secure enough fuel for electricity generating.
