Well-known Highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena has counseled aspiring musicians to embrace Highlife, which he says is the secret to making successful songs. Despite Highlife's significant effect on today's top singles, Kwabena Kwabena recently voiced dismay in a Graphic Showbiz interview that many young singers ignore it in favor of other genres. "If you want hits, stay in the highlife genre, which is booming right now.
Many of Ghana's biggest hits, like Fameye's Very Soon, King Paluta's Makoma, KiDi's Lomo Lomo, and Stonebwoy's Jejereje, have their roots in Highlife, despite the opinion of some that it is outdated," he said. In his reflections on his two decades of music, the Aso hitmaker thanked his fans for their steadfast support.
