IMANI Africa's founding president, Franklin Cudjoe, sharply criticized Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo's usage of an opulent presidential jet while sharing a story about his own opulent First Class flight on the Airbus A380 from New York to Milan.

On a more humorous side, Franklin explained that his opulent trip was paid for by his employment from April to August 2024 as deputy team lead on a consulting project for the British Government. "The funds used for this airline were obtained through consulting... He ended with a humorous and civic engagement plea, saying, "By the way, I go Ghana come inspire you all to conduct the biggest communal labor in Ghana's political history on December 7th to clear all the overgrown weeds and make Ghana great again."
