One of Ghanaians' most carefully watched campaign pledges seems to be the president-elect's pledge to launch the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) plan, in which his administration will go after government officials to recoup money and state assets that they have squandered. ORAL might be one of the most significant legacies of the incoming Mahama administration if it is implemented correctly.
Some Ghanaians have urged the NDC to start pursuing state officials involved in corruption-related activities under the previous administration after the party's resounding victory in the 2016 elections. Oheneba Nana Asiedu, a radio host from Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio, is the most recent person to join the calls.
