Speaking to his audience, he urged the government to disclose the program's funding honestly, claiming that portraying it as an administrative gift is deceptive.
The prophet explained that the Free SHS program is sponsored by taxpayers, which means that Ghanaians bear the financial burden rather than the government. The program is not as free as it is advertised to be," he said. Ghanaians have a right to know the truth because it is financed by taxpayer dollars.
Prophet Owusu Bempah called on the government to accept this fact and cease referring to the money as "free" as if it were their own. As he put it, "Tell Ghanaians the truth—Free SHS is being paid for by their taxes." He underlined the importance of transparency.
