According to MyNewsGh.com, Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) officials have broken into the Accra headquarters of Global InfoAnalytics, a private research consulting firm. The firm, which was established in 2019 as an independent research firm and employs advanced techniques and contemporary technology to offer research, analysis, and strategic advice customized to its clients' needs, must respond to a number of inquiries from the state tax authorities. Due to its correct forecast of the 2024 elections, the business has recently received widespread recognition. Mussa Dankwah, its executive director, has denied claims of outside funding and stated that he runs election polls as part of his company's CSR. According to him, his business has customers who pay for the services.
There are currently rumors that GRA personnel broke into the Mussa-Dankwah-led company's Haatso office to look through their accounting records and tax payment logs. According to Mussa Dankwah himself, the GRA officers left after hours of questioning and document inspection without discovering any tax violations on the part of Global InfoAnalytics or Mussa Dankwah. According to Global Info Analytics' poll from October 2024, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had 39% of the vote, while former President John Dramani Mahama of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) had 53.1%.
From October 7 to October 12, 1,969 respondents from Ghana's 16 regions were sampled for the study. Random telephone interviews were used for the survey, which had a 95% confidence level and a 2.74% margin of error. Following the results of the 2024 elections, Bawumia received 41% without the results of nine constituencies, whereas John Mahama received nearly 56%.
