Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei Duah, a well-known preacher from Ghana, has revealed that he predicted John Dramani Mahama will win the general elections on December 7. Despite greeting both of the major presidential candidates, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the leader of the Believers Worship Center told his audience during a service that he was convinced Mahama would win. Despite his decision to keep quiet during the election process, Prophet Adom Kyei Duah claimed to have known from the beginning who would win. He clarified that he purposefully kept quiet because he believed the time was not right to make the disclosure public.
Even though I met and prayed with both Bawumia and John Mahama, I knew Bawumia would lose and Mahama would win. He informed his congregation, "As prophets, we sometimes have to keep certain things to ourselves until the right time." The godly man, who is well-known for his earlier national issues forecasts, went on to say that he believes the time has come to recognize and talk about his pre-election vision. Prophet Adom Kyei Duah's comments coincide with a lot of people's reactions to the NDC's success in the 2024 elections, with many people examining the reasons for it. His admission brings the number of religious leaders who say they predicted the outcome of this historic election to an increasing number.
The role of religion and spirituality in forming political narratives is a matter of great interest in Ghana as the country enters a new administration led by President-elect John Mahama.
