Amerado Burner, a rapper and musician from Ghana, asserts that he is the first successful rapper to switch to highlife music in Ghana.

Amerado claimed that he cleared the path for other artists like Fameye and King Paluta to follow in his footsteps during a press conference on January 9, 2025, in Accra.


He clarified that his inventiveness made him the first performer to reach the top of the 2024 music charts with well-known highlife hits like "Kweku Ananse" and its remix.

"It was remarkable for 'Kweku Ananse' and its remix to rank in the top 10 on all major music platforms in January 2024. In 2024, I became the first artist to accomplish it, and I'm deeply humbled to see artists like
"Gone are the days when Nigerian songs were dominating our charts," Amerado added, highlighting the reduction in Nigerian music's influence on Ghana's charts. I'm glad to see that more people are listening to Ghanaian music these days.

The "Kweku Ananse" hitmaker went on to address speculation that he is a "confused" musician, stating that his versatility includes the ability to sing and rap.
