Kuami Eugene, a Ghanaian highlife performer, has revealed that he receives constant insults for being on Sarkodie's song "Happy Day." Kuami claimed that the song, which was released four years ago, has made certain music fans dislike him in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.
"I continue to suffer because of that [feature]." I'm not sure what discussion led to the conclusion that it should be Kuami Eugene, but it turned out that way when I performed the chorus from the first verse I heard from senior man [Sarkodie]. Since it is an NPP song, I will have to defend my non-participation for the rest of my life.
I believe it was a chat between Kuami Eugene and Sarkodie that didn't go in that way. Initially coming from a different direction, the talk eventually moved in that way. I still have to pay for it, so I was a little let down," he remarked. He claims that he still receives a lot of criticism for the characteristic.
They always question me, "You go sleep for UGMC, you don't know say ebe Mahama build am," he remarked. Sarkodie's song "Happy Day" was released before the 2020 general election.
With a line by Sarkodie endorsing Nana Akufo-Addo's re-election and praising his Free Senior High School policy, the party song sparked controversy. People were attacking Sarkodie and Kuami Eugene because they believed the song was a politically motivated song promoting the NPP campaign.
