Dancehall and reggae musician Stonebwoy has given an explanation for why he would not be working with Skrewfaze on a remix of his song "Jejereje." Fan requests for this remix were addressed by the Afro-dancehall artist in an interview with Nana Ama McBrown on Onua Showtime. According to Stonebwoy, Skrewfaze would only be featured for its "niceness" and would not have any financial gain. He underlined that even while he intends to remix "Jejereje" multiple times, he will make sure that his endeavors take into account business considerations rather than only satisfying fan requests.
Skrewfaze was thrilled when the song was released and even posted a video to show his gratitude. However, Portfolio pointed out that the industry is very large. It sounds fantastic from the standpoint of a fan, but when you think about it, a feature with Skrewfaze would only be fine. I already have several remixes planned," he stated. Additionally, Stonebwoy explained that he consults with a management team while making decisions on features.
Without having to be contacted, he thinks Skrewfaze could use the same beat to make his own version of the song. "The easiest thing to do if the song inspires a legend is to make a version over the beat at that precise moment." There was no need to get in touch because it has been less than a week. I believe I even left a remark and republished it," he said.
Since fans have noted that the song's sound is similar of Skrewfaze's previous work, Skrewfaze's name has been brought up a lot in conversations on a possible remix of "Jejereje." Having been in the music business for more than 20 years, Skrewfaze is well-known for songs like "Gbalagazaa," "Bue Bue," "Maabena," "Ogogologo," and "Too Fast," among others.
