Kantamanto sources said that traders had previously been alerted to the possibility of an attack during Ghana's 2024 election season, which prompted preventative actions. Thirteen fire trucks were sent from all across Accra to put out the fire, which broke out close to the Ghana Commercial Bank, according to the Ghana National Fire Service.
