Mahama names the first group of nominations for ministers.

Ghana's president, John Dramani Mahama, has named his first group of candidates for government ministerial posts. This was carried out in compliance with Article 78 of Ghana's 1992 constitution. Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, the Minister-designate for Energy, and Hon. Ato Forson, the Minister-designate for Finance, are on the list. The newly appointed Attorney General and Minister of Justice is Hon. Dominic Akuritinga Ayini. In his 120-day social contract with the Ghanaian people, John Dramani Mahama promised to name his cabinet within 14 days of assuming office. It is anticipated that these candidates will be vetted by Parliament's appointment committee, which is led by Hon. Bernard Ahiafor, in order to get the government functioning and aid in restoring

Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson is a tax practitioner, economist, and chartered accountant.
