Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) vice presidential candidate, will begin a two-day trip of the Oti Region on Thursday. Ahead of the 2024 elections, the trip seeks to mobilize support for John Dramani Mahama, the NDC's presidential candidate, as well as the party's legislative candidates.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang will interact with voters in a number of communities in the region while she is there, including Kparekpare in the Krachi East Constituency, Likpe-Mate in the Guan Constituency, New Ayoma in the Buem Constituency, and Abotoase in the Biakoye Constituency. As part of the party's main manifesto policies, she will highlight the NDC's dedication to empowering women economically, generating employment opportunities for young people, and improving education at all levels. It is anticipated that Prof. Opoku-Agyemang will wrap off her tour of the Oti Region on Friday and head back to Accra that same day.
