The founder and head of Heaven's Gate Ministries, Nicholas Osei, also known as Prophet Kumchacha, recently disclosed the dire repercussions he has experienced as a result of his vocal criticism of President Akufo-Addo's government. Prophet Kumchacha revealed the risks he now confronts as a result of his outspoken criticism in an interview with Kingdom FM, detailing how his public comments regarding the government's management of Ghana's economy had led to several threats against his life.
Because of his ongoing criticism of the administration's economic policies, the prophet revealed that he has received at least six different life-threatening warnings. Because of the severe grief these threats have caused him, he has had to take drastic security measures to safeguard himself. According to Kumchacha, he has had to spend nights at radio stations in order to protect himself from possible danger. He has also lodged six official reports about these threats with the Central Police Headquarters.
It has become so dangerous that the prophet has had to alter his daily schedule and, on many times, re-locate to avoid harm. His concerns for his personal safety have grown as a result of the times his critics have been able to track him down to his house. Prophet Kumchacha continues to oppose the government in spite of these mounting dangers, arguing that it is imperative to voice his disapproval of what he perceives to be the government's mismanagement of the country's resources.
Prophet Kumchacha has pledged to keep speaking out about these life-threatening issues, stressing that fear will not shut him up. Despite the hazards, his steadfast dedication to his cause demonstrates his strong belief in holding the government responsible.
