The 2020 TGMA "Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year," dancehall performer Ras Kuuku, expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of acknowledgement he and fellow musician Yaa Pono receive in Ghana's music industry. Ras Kuuku expressed worries in an interview on Hitz FM that he and Yaa Pono are still disregarded in spite of their achievements. He emphasized how he helps up-and-coming artists launch their careers just to be ignored when they become well-known. "I helped develop a lot of artists in Ghana, but they didn't acknowledge me after they achieved success," he claimed.
Bullet contacted me to work with Ebony even before she gained popularity. Yaa Pono has also helped people a lot, but he hasn't received the recognition he deserves. "When it comes to performance in Ghana, I am the best," Ras Kuuku continued, reaffirming his position as the nation's leading live performer. I may not have had as many chances to demonstrate this, but nobody compares to live band or beat performances.
