Ghana's president has been encouraged by dancehall singer Shanta Wale to bring about reform in the entertainment sector. He thinks that the entertainment industry will require a reset because John Dramani is resetting the nation. According to Shatta Wale, young people who wish to pursue a profession in the field must understand that it's a business and not just a hobby. He used social media to inform the president of this in a letter. "Letter to our new President of Ghana," he wrote.
In the same way that new ministries are appointed when they take office, I hope that our new president, John Dramani Mahama, can similarly restructure our music industry to draw in more professionals for radio and television. That shift is necessary for the entertainment sector. The younger generation cannot experience what some of us experienced. My modest 🙏 wish is that future generations would view the music industry as a career rather than a pastime.
