The first female vice president in Ghanaian history is Professor Jan Naana Opoku Agyemang. His previous images are trending on all social media platforms as memories following his inauguration on January 7, 2025. Her profile is below. On November 22, 1951, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang was born in Cape Coast, Ghana. Her age is seventy-three. She is a National Democratic Congress (NDC) member. She teamed up with John Mahama in the 2020 presidential race, becoming the first female member of a major Ghanaian political party to be chosen as a running mate. After starting her studies at Koforidua's Anglican Girls' Secondary School, she went on to Aburi Presby Girls' School. Then she went to Wesley Girls.
She served as the head of the English department, dean of graduate studies, and dean of the faculty of arts, among other important academic roles. The University of Cape Coast's first female vice chancellor, she held the role from 2008 until 2012. In March 2007, she also represented Ghana at the 200th Anniversary of the Abolition of Slavery at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
