On the Tamale-Kumasi Highway, a deadly accident has claimed the lives of six persons. A Kia Granbird bus with registration number GT 6068-19 and a Kia Rhino truck with registration number GR 7968-20 were involved in the collision, which happened early on Wednesday.
Yakubu, the suspected driver, was operating the KIA Granbird bus that was carrying 28 people from Kumasi to Tamale. When the bus came to a bend in the road at Mile 40, it struck the KIA Rhino, which was transporting watermelons from Daboya to Goaso, head-on.
Both cars' occupants suffered varying degrees of injuries and were sent to Buipe's Central Gonja District Hospital for immediate medical attention.
Regretfully, two ladies, a kid, and both drivers were among the three male adults who perished instantly.
In order to help with casualty extraction and accident site cleanup, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in Buipe was dispatched to the spot. In anticipation of an autopsy, their bodies have been placed in the morgue at the Central Gonja District Hospital for preservation.

In the meantime, vehicles are being urged to slow down in order to save lives by the Buipe District Police Command, which is headed by its Crime Officer, ASP Amoako.
