Reports that Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) running mate for the 2024 elections, was engaged in a deadly accident on Thursday, November 14, 2024, that purportedly killed a small kid have been firmly denied by Kofi Abrefa Afena, his press assistant.
Mr. Afena denied the reports, claiming they were completely untrue, when speaking on Kumasi's Silver FM. "There has been no mishap involving Dr. Prempeh's convoy, and no one has been taken down. The public is urged to disregard the reporting. "That is utterly untrue," he declared.
As the nation gets closer to the December elections, Mr. Afena cautioned the public to be on the lookout for such false information. He made the implication that some persons might be disseminating these untrue information in an effort to instill fear, panic, and disenchantment in innocent people.
He underlined the need for critical judgment in the face of election-related rumors and advised the public to exercise caution and ignore these false reports.
