Unfortunately, Emmanuel Nii Adom Quaye, who played Strika in the critically acclaimed film Beast of No Nation, was fired from the Akabenezer/Dr. Likee cast after being accused of stealing. One of the Akabenezer team members, Gunshot, announced that Strika was sent back to Accra and was no longer a member of the group. This occurred less than a year after Gunshot rescued the young actor off the streets and gave him a chance to change his life. Gunshot claims that Strika, who had been residing at his home since joining the team in Kumasi, had developed a habit of disagreeable and unpleasant behavior over time.
However, a theft episode was the tipping point, and the team decided they could no longer hold him in their camp. Gunshot said he was disappointed in Strika, saying that even though a lot of resources and goodwill were provided to assist him start over, the young actor did not make the most of his second opportunity. He underlined how the Akabenezer crew had gone above and above to help Strika, giving him lodging, food, and an opportunity to get back into the entertainment business.
After becoming well-known worldwide for his performance in Beast of No Nation, Strika has encountered several difficulties. All of the money he earned from his part in the International film was allegedly wasted by his family. This most recent episode has tempered the hopes of many supporters who thought that his affiliation with Dr. Likee's team would mark a sea change in his life.
