The ORAL Team of Okudzeto Ablakwa Shares the Horrible Things They Observed During the Accra Field Assessment

A member of the ORAL (Operation Recover Assets and Lands) Team under former President John Mahama, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has disclosed the team's recent endeavors to look into claims of misuse of public assets in Accra. He also shared some of the horrifying sights the team observed while visiting Cantoments in Accra. This was revealed on Saturday in a Facebook post. Among the places the ORAL team visited were the Dubois Center, the Agric Mechanization fields, the beachfront of the Labadi Beach Hotel, La Trade Fair, the site of the demolished Bulgarian Embassy, and land owned by the Northern Development Authority (NDA) in cantonments. These trips are a part of a larger endeavor to gather proof, verify statements made in public petitions, and create an extensive report for the incoming administration of President Mahama.
The group also went to the Agric Mechanization fields in Cantonments, where they praised the military's action to prevent what they called a "non-transparent" takeover of the land by former administration officials. The team pointed out that the problem was made more complicated by the fact that rezoning had been done without parliamentary authority. When Team ORAL stopped at the Northern Development Authority's site in Cantonments, they found hastily constructed barriers by unknown individuals who were trying to take over parts of the property. They quickly informed National Security of the situation so that fast action could be taken. The team also evaluated the location of the now-demolished Bulgarian Embassy, promising embassy authorities that their results would be incorporated into the final report.
