Since he never gets angry with their choices to follow their careers, the gospel singer claimed he did not understand the criticism. According to Broda Sammy, he was honored when the NPP asked him to join Daddy Lumba, Kwabena Kwabena, Samini, and evangelist Diana Asamoah in writing a campaign song for the party. The self-described "worshipper of the nation" acknowledged that the NPP valued him and his musical talent, and he would have even accepted GH₵ 1 to write the campaign song.
